I am a lawyer, from London but working in Amsterdam. I didn’t always love photography. It started in 2006 when I traveled the world. I started in Moscow. However, by the time I reached Mongolia, something was brewing. The world was simply too beautiful for my compact camera… and then in China, my good friends Nat and Jacob passed me an SLR to take a picture of them on the Great Wall. I thought “this is heavy”, but heavy is good right? And… the first shot was masterful!

By the time I got to Perth, I took the plunge, sort off. I bought a compact but with a 12x zoom. That was a waste of money. Two months later, in Adelaide, I bought my first SLR. It was a basic Canon with the plastic kit lens. But it was a revelation. It has got heavier, and more expensive ever since…
